I had a good day. I had dinner with my former advisor, D and we had a great time catching up. It is amazing how much I like her more that she is not holding my Ph.D. in her hands..lol. We went to soul de cuba and I had a red snapper dish with platanos and black beans…yummy:) While talking, she gave me some great advice. She told me that everything you do leads to were you are supposed to be in life–there are no wrong choices. It reminded me of something similar my close friend, E had said to me. I guess there are no real bad choices in life. I think if I hadn’t faced my fears and moved back to New Haven, I wouldn’t have started to learn who the true “me” was. In addition, it might have taken me longer to realize at this moment, what I want to do with my life.
